Cork County Council Unveils New Pop-up Exhibition in Cobh

Cork County Council is delighted to support Cobh-based visual artist Eamonn Leahy’s newly opened pop-up exhibition of works inspired by the waterways, landforms and rich heritage of Cork Harbour. With the support of funding received through the Council’s Creative Start Up Scheme, Eamonn has transformed a former bakery on East Beach, Cobh into an exciting exhibition space just in time for the festive season.

Cork County Council Christmas Opening Hours 2023

Cork County Council’s offices are closed on the 25th, 26th and 27th of December and the 1st of January.

Offices will be open as normal on the 28th and 29th of December and from Tuesday the 2nd of January.

Leading Food Businesses Shine At Cork County Council’s Enterprise Awards In West Cork

A company that produces gluten-free cakes, a leading chain of artisan pizzerias and a new business that helps secondary students improve their exam results have been named as the best businesses in West Cork. Cork County Council hosted the third and final Best in Cork divisional awards at a special event in the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery.

Hosted by Cork Young Filmmakers and Cork Film Centre with the support of Cork County Council and SECAD, the highly anticipated event celebrated a year long journey of filmmaking with young people from County Cork.

Cork County Council Library and Arts Service is accepting submissions to the From the Well Short Story competition 2024. The competition invites entries from writers aged 18 and over who are registered members of any library. From the Well is a long standing short story anthology published annually by Cork County Council’s Library and Arts Service.
