ROADWORKS SPEED LIMIT ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 2004

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 10 (1) of the Road Traffic Act 2004, as amended, that a Road Works Speed Limit Order has been made to facilitate the installation of ducting & joint bay chambers associated with the Celtic Interconnector Project along the N25 from Churchtown North Junction to Castlemartyr Village.

N25:

Install a 60 km/h Special Speed Limit at Road Works on the N25, a reduction of the existing 100km/h speed limit, for a distance of 4.25km, from approximately 300m west of the Churchtown North junction (Easting 191191, Northing 73525) to the entrance of Castlemartyr Village (Easting 195782, Northing 73687) i.e. where current 100km/h speed limit sign ends/60km/h speed limit starts. 

Existing Speed Limits through the village of Castlemartyr will remain unaffected.

The Road Works Speed Limit to be applied shall be 60km/h (reduced from 100 km/h)

This speed limit applies from 00.01hrs on Friday 14th June, 2024 to 23.59hrs on Friday 4th October, 2024 or such earlier date as determined by Cork County Council.

Relevant speed limit signs will be in place.

Regard shall be given to any representations made in writing to the undersigned in relation to this Road Works Speed Limit Order.
