Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:-
Roads Subject of Proposed Closure
- M8 Motorway: from Junction 12 to Junction 11 North Bound, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork.
- M8 Motorway: from Junction 12 to Junction 13 South Bound, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork.
- M8 Motorway: from Junction 13 to Junction 12 North Bound, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
- From 17.00hrs on Monday 13th September 2021 to 07.00hrs on Friday 17th September 2021 (Nightly Closure)
and
From 17.00hrs on Wednesday 29th September 2021 to 07.00hrs on Thursday 30th September 2021 (Nightly Closure)
- From 17.00hrs on Monday 20th September 2021 to 07.00hrs on Wednesday 22nd September 2021 (Nightly Closure)
and
From 17.00hrs on Monday 27th September 2021 to 07.00hrs on Tuesday 28th September 2021 (Nightly Closure)
and
From 17.00hrs on Thursday 30th September 2021 to 07.00hrs on Friday 1st October 2021 (Nightly Closure)
- From 17.00hrs on Wednesday 22nd September 2021 to 07.00hrs on Friday 24th September 2021 (Nightly Closure)
and
From 17.00hrs on Tuesday 28th September 2021 to 07.00hrs on Wednesday 29th September 2021 (Nightly Closure)
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Works to Repair/Replace Road Studs

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-91-2021, not later than 5pm on Friday 13th August, 2021. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-3604-25, Lisgoold, Co. Cork – from 4 Crossroads Upper Lisgoold (Top Cross) to 3 Crossroads in Lisgoold Village.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08.00hrs on Monday 30th August 2021 to 18.00hrs on Tuesday 30th November 2021.
(24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate laying of watermain by Irish Water.
Alternative Route
From L3604-25, 4 Crossroads Upper Lisgoold (Top Cross) detour North via the L-3609-0 Corbally Road to Ballincurrig Village 4 Crossroads turning South Via R-626 to Lisgoold Village.
This alternative route is also applicable in reverse.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
The above watermain laying works will be undertaken consecutively to watermain laying works on the L-3609-0, detour routes will be open.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-95-2021, not later than 5.00pm on Friday 13th August 2021. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
