Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-4410-0 Ardmanagh Road, Schull, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 8th April 2024 to 18:00hrs on Friday 3rd May 2024. (24hr Closure)
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the installation of a new watermain.
Alternative Routes
For Schull town centre, coming from the western side of the works, take the L-4410-0 and then take the R-592-85.
For Schull town centre, coming from the eastern side of the works, take the L-4410-0 and then onto the R-592-70 at the Main Street junction.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-22-2024, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 6th March 2024. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

From 08:00hrs on Monday 29th April 2024 to 18:00hrs on Friday 24th May 2024. (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the installation of a new watermain.
Alternative Routes
For Schull town centre, head north on the L-8421-0, then onto the L-4410-0 and onto the R-592-85.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
