Temporary Closing of Public Roads
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-6033-0, Cappaknockane, Enniskean, Co. Cork – eastwards from Pike Crossroads to the L-20143-0 next junction.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 07:00hrs on Monday 20th January 2025 to 18:00 hrs on Saturday 1st February 2025 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the construction of Cattle Underpass.
Alternative Routes
Traffic intending to access the L-6033-0 at Pike Crossroads shall divert southwards on the L-2017-0, then turn left onto N71-964, and then turn left onto L-6033-0 and follow the road to approach the closed road from the opposite side.
The stated diversion is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure on either side of the works area.
Objections
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-147-2024, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 4th December 2024. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-4908-0 and L-4908-7 Eyeries, Co. Cork – from the junction of the L-4908-7 and L-4910-0 at Faunkil and the Woods to the junction of the L-4908-0 and R-571-70 at Eyeries.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 13th January 2025 to 18:00hrs on Friday 21st February 2025 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Uisce Éireann Sewer Works.
Alternative Routes
R-571-70.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure and the road will be opened each weekend.
