Temporary Closing of Public Roads
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
Closure of L-4403-123 Dunmanus East, Schull Co. Cork. Closed between R591-203 and L-4403-123 junction and L-8413 and L-4403-123 junction.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 00:01hrs on Monday 13th of January 2025 to 24:00 on Friday 24th of January 2025 (24hr Closure)
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Installation of cattle underpass.
Alternative Routes
Westbound (from Durrus) Continue on the R591 towards Goleen. Turn right at the Junction of the R591-226 and L-8413 and continue along the L-8413. Diversion route will be signposted.
Eastbound (from L-4403-123 and L-8413 junction) Head southwest along L-8413 towards Kealfadda bridge. Turn left at the junction of the R591-226 and L-8413 and continue along the R591 towards Durrus. Diversion route will be signposted.
Local Access will maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
Objections
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-151-2024, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 18th December 2024. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

L-1418-0, Brigown Road, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 19:00hrs to 07:00hrs (Nightly Closure) from Wednesday 22nd January 2025 to Thursday 23rd January 2025.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the installation of a new wastewater connection to a new development.
Alternative Routes
Take the R513, Upper Cork Street Road, turn right onto L-1429, Church Hill Road and
finally take a right onto Mulberry Road, L-1428.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the completion of a wastewater connection to an existing development.
Alternative Routes
At McCurtain Hill/ Ashe St. junction, continue west onto Pearse St., R-880. to Assumption Place junction. Turn right onto Assumption Place, L-9911 & L-9910; turn left onto Patrick St., L-4040; turn right onto Old Chapel Lane L-4037 to rejoin McCurtain Hill, L-4031.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
