Bandon Library offers a wide range of books for lending to adults and children, including Large Print books and books on tape. The Library also has a selection of Adult Literacy Books to loan. A range of books for children with dyslexia and other reading difficulties is available for loan.
Do It Yourself- Self Help on the Shelf: This program is a joint initiative between the HSE and Cork County Library and Arts Service. It includes a selection of practical materials reviewed by local Clinical Psychologists that are available in Bandon Library to borrow.
Daily Newspapers: Irish Examiner, Irish Independent, the Irish Times
Weekly and Monthly Newspapers, Journals and Magazines: Southern Star, The Opinion, Woman's Way, Hello, Consumer Choice, The Phoenix and Writer's Forum.
Cork County Council Information e.g. Motor Taxation forms, driving licence forms and the Co-Development Plan is available at the library.
Internet access is available on 3 PCs. Advance booking for this service is advisable. Bandon library also offers free Wi-Fi to members.
Online Services available include Grove Art, Grove Music, Irish Times online, OSI maps and Britannica Online.
Tot-time is held on Friday mornings at 11 am - nursery rhymes and songs for pre-school children
Reading Support Programme for parents of children with dyslexia and other reading difficulties
Adult Reader's Group - meets on the first Wednesday of every month
Writer's Group - meets bi-monthly on Wednesday mornings at 10.30am
Gramophone Recital - this is held once a month on Thursday mornings. Please contact the library for details
Various activities are held throughout the year including involvement in local festivals, Library Ireland Week, Seachtain Na Gaeilge, Bealtaine, Summer Arts Programme and Children's Book Festival.
