Opening Hours

Tuesday to Saturday: 9.30am - 5.30pm.

Closed Mondays.

Closed Saturday of Bank Holiday Weekends.

Bantry Library offers a wide range of books for lending to adults and children, including books on tape, CDs and DVDs.

The following newspapers are available for viewing in the library:  the Irish Examiner, the Irish Times and the Southern Star. 

 

Internet Access 

Internet access is available on public computers for registered library members and visitors. Advance booking for this service is advisable.

A Wi-Fi Internet service is available to all library members in Bantry Library. Library users may log in to the service on any internet-enabled device.

 

Remote Printing

You can now print remotely to the printer in Bantry library. You can print from your tablet or smartphone, from your home computer or laptop. Then collect your prints from a staff member at the library by the close of business the following day. Exception: Any print job sent on a Saturday will need to be collected that day.

A4 black and white is €0.15 per page. 
A4 colour is €0.60 per page.
*Correct change is also required when collecting your print job.

1.) From your browser

  1. Visit Princh
  2. Enter the printer ID 111595
  3. Upload your print job and send it directly to the printer!

2.) From Tablet or Smartphone

  1. Download the Princh App from Princh - Apps on Google Play or Princh on the App Store
  2. Open the App and follow the instructions.
  3. Enter printer ID 111595.
Photocopying

Photocopying is available in Black and White and Colour.

  • A4 black and white - €0.15 per page. 
  • A4 colour - €0.60 per page.

Spanish Circle:
Wednesdays 10.30am-11.30am

Comhrá Gaeilge:
Thursdays 12pm-1pm

Knitting Group:
Fridays 11am–1pm

Lego Club:
1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month, 11.00 am-1pm

Storytime and craft 4-7 years:
2nd Saturday of the Month at 11.30

Games & Puzzles:
4th Saturday of the month at 11.30am

Directions to the Library

From Bantry Main Square, turn left at Harrington Estates.

Continue straight up New Street and then on to Bridge Street (all one-way streets) until you come to a large water wheel. Bantry Library is adjacent to this.
