Cork County Council will be opening a Book of Condolence in the foyer of County Hall for Frank Crowley, former Councillor, Cathaoirleach and T.D. for Cork North-West.

With the passing of Frank Crowley, County Cork has lost a dedicated and hard-working public representative. Frank was a member of Cork County Council for over 30 years and was elected chairman of the Council in 1987, he also served as T.D. for Cork North-West for 16 years.

Frank showed extraordinary commitment to his constituents and was a courageous advocate for the people of North Cork in both Cork County Council’s chambers and at a national level in Dáil Eireann. Public service is a service that is performed for the benefit of the public and its institutions, Frank worked tirelessly to provide this throughout his political career to any and all members of his community.

I wish to extend my sincere sympathies to his wife Wynne, and the Crowley family for their loss.
