The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals to transform our world, adopted by all 193 members of the United Nations. Cork County Council was proud to host a civic reception in honour of Jim Murphy to acknowledge and celebrate his lifelong commitment to his hometown Passage West. The Civic reception was hosted by Carrigaline Municipal District on Tuesday 4th October 2022 in County Hall.

Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr Danny Collins has welcomed the announcement that funding of €100,000 has been awarded under the Shared Island Local Authority Development Fund to progress a feasibility study for the ‘Four Points of the Island’ project. Cork County Council will collaborate with Kerry County Council, the lead Local Authority Partner together with Donegal County Council and Ards and North Down Borough Council.
