Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 10 (1) of the Road Traffic Act 2004, as amended, that a Road Works Speed Limit Order has been made in the interests of road safety and to facilitate drainage works on the N25 between Carrigtwohill and Midleton, Co. Cork.   

Location: Westbound Carriageway of the N25 – between Carrigtwohill and Midleton, Co. Cork.

Traffic will be reduced to a single lane, west bound during working hours and returned to full capacity during the day which is required to create a safe environment for workers on site and for traffic while traversing the works area to facilitate the construction of a surface drain and to carry out road crossings across the N25. 

The Road Works Speed Limit to be applied shall be 60km/h (reduced from 100km/h).

This speed limit applies from 20:00 hrs on Monday 19th September, 2022 to 06:00 hrs on Sunday 20th November, 2022 or such earlier date as determined by Cork County Council.

Relevant speed limit signs will be in place.

Regard shall be given to any representations made in writing to the undersigned in relation to this Road Works Speed Limit Order.
