Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
R616 (Part of) Glanmire, Co. Cork - from Sarsfields Court (Buck Leary’s Cross) to Ballinvinny North (Annacarton Bridge).
Period of Proposed Closure
From 07.00hrs on Monday, 9th October 2023 to 19.00hrs on Friday, 20th October 2023
(24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Improvement Works.
Alternative Routes
From Buck Leary’s Cross, travel south to Glanmire Village along the L-2973. Turn left onto the R639 heading north. Continue north along the R639 to Annacarton Bridge. This route is applicable in reverse.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-170-2023, not later than 5pm on Tuesday, 5th September 2023. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

L-1449 Richmond Hill, Fermoy, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 19:00hrs on Monday 2nd October 2023 to 07:00hrs on Friday 20th October 2023 (Nighttime closure only).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Resurfacing.
Alternative Routes
At Patrick’s Street side of scheme continue along N72, onward to R639, then onward to L-1515, then return to L-1449.
At L1515 side of scheme continue along L1515, onward to R639, then onward to N72, then return to L-1449.
Local access/emergency access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-169-2023, not later than 5pm on Tuesday 5th September 2023. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Roads Subject of Proposed Closure
L-8721-0 and L-8720-0 (part of), School Road and Chapel Rock Road (part of), Durrus, Bantry, Co Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 07.00hrs on Monday 30th October 2023 to 20.00hrs on Saturday 25th November 2023 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Repairs.
Alternative Routes
From the Bantry direction proceed along the R591 (along the main street) to the Ahakista Road (L-4704-0). Turn right and proceed as far as St James’s Church. Turn right after the church (onto L-8707-0) and right again onto the L8721-0. Proceed to Chapel Rock Road. End of diversion.
From the road closure on Chapel Rock Road, follow the above directions in reverse to reach the start of the diversion on the R591.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
