TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
N22 Macroom, Co. Cork – part of – By-Pass Coolcower to Teerbeg/Millstreet Road Junction – one carriageway at a time only – opposite carriageway will remain open.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 00:01hrs to 23:59hrs (Daily Closure) on Thursday 12th October 2023.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate installation of Artworks.
Alternative Routes
Westbound Traffic: At Coolcower Roundabout take the R-618 through Macroom Town. Follow the R-582 Millstreet Road and at the N22 Teerbeg/Millstreet Road junction rejoin the N22 Westbound.
Eastbound Traffic: At the N22 Teerbeg/Millstreet Rd junction exit onto the R-582 Millstreet Road. Follow the R-582, R-618 through Macroom Town and east to Coolcower. Rejoin the N22 Eastbound
Local Access will not be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

L-4720-65, Kealkill, Co. Cork – just west of The Brown Pub for a distance of approx. 70m.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Thursday 19th October 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 20th October 2023.
(24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Waste Water Connection.
Alternative Routes
Northbound Diversion – Drivers will be diverted onto junction L-47205-0 where they will continue up until a left turn on to L-8774-0, a final left turn on to L-8774-0 which will bring you on to the diverted road.
The Southbound Diversion is the same in reverse.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Installation of Public Sewer.
Alternative Routes
Northbound traffic: Follow the L-3414-41 (New Road) onto the L-9301-0 (Chapel Hill) onto the R-618, former N22 Main Street.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Alternative Routes
From the L7629 take the L7628, R627, R907, N25, L3627 to rejoin the L7629 at Churchtown North.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs (Daily Closure) on Tuesday the 31st October 2023 to Friday the 3rd November 2023.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate resurfacing and traffic calming works.
Alternative Routes
Via R624, Spy Hill (L2978), Laundry Hill (L2965).
Local traffic from North via College Manor (L9635) left on to Bishop Street (L2992-24), at the roundabout take the third exit on to the East Hill (R624) continue along the Harbour Row (R624), East Beach (R624), West Beach (R624), Westbourne Place (R624) turn right on to Spy Hill (L2978) continue to Park View (L9618), turn right on to Park Lane (L2965).
Local Traffic from Park Road (L7058) continue along Plunkett Terrace (L2965) to Newton Road (L2965) to Peter O’Donovan Place(L2965) to Norwood Road (L2965) turn right at the junction of Lake Road (L2971) continue to junction with the High Road (R624).
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
