Request a Repair

Cork County Council has a Total Stock of nearly 7,500units. A dedicated response maintenance unit deals with routine and emergency maintenance calls. In 2017 a total of 6,574 response maintenance calls were attended to throughout the county. Maintenance calls comprise of mainly: plumbing, heating, electrical, internal & external structural issues.

If there are repairs that need to be carried out to your home, you should first check whether it is your responsibility to carry out the repair. The tenant shall be charged for any unnecessary call-outs for inspection of items that are actually the tenant’s responsibility.

If the particular item is the Council’s responsibility you should report it to the Council. We will attend to your request as soon as possible.

Emergency: These are repairs carried out where there is a possible danger to human life eg. smoking fuse board, faulty sockets.

Urgent: These are repairs carried out quickly to avoid damage to the dwelling eg. leaking pipes, no water in the hot tap, leaking roof.

Routine: These are medium priority repairs eg. plastering jobs, downpipes and gutters, external windows and doors.

You can view the current Tenant Handbook (pdf) for more info on repairs.
