‘Explore Cork’ app – Cork County Council Privacy Statement
How does the app collect data?
This app does not collect personal data for any purpose and is fully GDPR compliant. There is no user registration or login functionality. The user is able to share their device location with the app in order to find nearby points of interest on the app, which the user can opt to consent to or not. The location data is not shared with any external party outside of the app itself and is solely used to show nearby results and things to do, all computed from within the app itself. Therefore, no personal data is retained and retention or deletion policy is required to be in place with respect to the ‘Explore Cork' app.
