A new book is set to be published by Cork County Council this year highlighting the county’s incredible history of retail heritage.

Four Primary schools in County Cork will become temporary custodians of our county art collection and will engage in a programme that will be facilitated by a professional artist.

Cork County Council has opened application for the Creative Startup Scheme 2024. The scheme supports artists, designers and craftspeople to establish retail spaces, as well as reinforcing the Council’s work in revitalising commercial centres in towns and villages. 

Cork County Council and Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre are delighted to announce a partnership residency for artists Patsy Tyrrell & Fiona Boniwell. Taking place in April and May 2024, this partnered residency supports artists seeking opportunities to research and develop their practice, and engage with Uillinn, local and diverse communities and the public. The award includes a studio space for 4 weeks at Uillinn and a stipend of €2,500 each. Both residencies are funded by the Cork County Council Arts Service.
