The Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government has announced a mortgage break scheme to assist local authority borrowers who are experiencing financial distress relating to Covid-19.

Covid-19 Service update

More than 120 Council services, including Housing issues can be accessed online at , while queries will continue to be taken by telephone, by post and by email, please see below link for a list of contact details.

Cork County Council will continue to provide Homeless, Traveller and HAP services. Other Housing services such as maintenance, applications/allocations, RAS/Leasing and call out response will be available in emergency situations only.

The Housing Directorate aims to facilitate the provision of suitable, quality and cost-effective accommodation and housing support. 

This is provided through a combination of the following : Rental Accommodation Schemes (RAS), Housing Assistance (HAP),  Long term leased Units, Voluntary & Co-operative Housing, Traveller Accommodation, Construction & Acquisition of Houses, provision of Grants to meets the needs of disabled and older people, transfers from existing Local Authority Accommodation and provision of sites for private houses.

Cork  County Councils Voids and Phase 2 Energy Efficiency Upgrades are Part Funded by the European Union Through its European Regional Development Fund (Erdf).
