Mayor of the County of Cork Hosts Civic Reception for Skibbereen Rowers

The Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr Joe Carroll has hosted a special Civic Reception at Cork County Hall to recognise the outstanding achievements of Skibbereen Rowing Club. The club, located on the banks of the River Ilen, was founded in 1970 and has produced world-class athletes including 10 Olympians since 2000.

2025 Cruise Season Begins in Kinsale

Cork County Council has welcomed the first of 24 cruise liners to its harbours for the 2025 season. Le Bellot made its inaugural visit to Kinsale Harbour with 184 passengers and 118 crew members onboard on Thursday, May 8th.

The event, held at County Hall, brought together representatives from Tidy Towns groups and expert speakers to share achievements, exchange ideas, and inspire future initiatives.
