Temporary Closing of Public Roads
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-9308 Sleaveen Road, Macroom, Co Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 19.00hrs to 07.00hrs (Nightly Closure) from Monday 26th May 2025 to Thursday 29th May 2025.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate wastewater/water connection.
Alternative Routes
Southbound Traffic: Follow R-618 (Main Street), East to junction with L-9301 (Chapel Hill), Follow L-9301 onto L-3414-41(New Road) and onto Sleaveen.
Northbound Traffic: Divert via L-3430 (Sleaveen Hill), Turn East on R-584 to Harnetts Cross, Follow R-584 to Coachford Junction and R618 into Macroom Town Centre.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
Objections
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-28-2025, not later than 5.00pm on Thursday 24th April 2025. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
