Cork County Council’s Severe Weather Assessment Team convened this morning ahead of a Met Éireann Status Orange Snow and Rain warning for Cork.

Cork County Council is urging motorists to take extreme care on the roads as widespread frost and ice is forecast for the county. 

A Met Éireann Status Yellow Low Temperature/Ice warning remains in place until 10.00 on Wednesday morning (20th of November) and will be in force again from 8.00pm on Wednesday evening. In addition, a Status Yellow Snow/Ice Warning has been issued for Cork from 4.00am on Thursday morning until 12 midday on Thursday.
