The Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr Joe Carroll has launched a new five-year plan that sets out Cork County Council’s vision, strategic goals and the steps it will take to achieve them. 

Cork County Council has appointed contractor McGinty & O’Shea for the construction of the R595 Oldcourt Road Realignment project in Skibbereen.  

The County Mayor’s Charity Gala will take place at the West Cork Hotel, Skibbereen, on Saturday, May 3rd raising vital funds for two charities chosen by Mayor Carroll, Cancer Connect and CoAction West Cork.

The NPPR charge applied from 2009 to 2013 to any residential property in which the owner did not reside as their normal place of residence.

Cork County Council’s Arts Office is currently seeking creative facilitators in all artforms to join a panel of experienced and skilled practitioners.

Cork County Council’s Community Response Forum has been meeting daily in response to Storm Éowyn. The forum, which includes representatives of Cork County Council, the HSE, An Garda Síochána, Local Development Companies and support agencies will continue to meet and will respond as required to assist those who have no power or water and are experiencing difficulties following the storm.

Cork County Council’s response to the damage caused by Storm Éowyn will continue throughout the weekend. 

Cork County Council crews are in response mode to the damage caused by Storm Éowyn across the county. 

Road conditions remain extremely challenging with fallen trees, fallen powerlines and substantial debris. The Council urges people not to undertake any travel unless absolutely necessary.
