Temporary Closing of Public Roads
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
R576-215 Church Street, Newmarket, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 8:00hrs on Monday 10th July 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 14th July 2023.

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Service connection to Public Sewer.
Alternative Routes
Traffic travelling west on the R576 from Kanturk shall divert onto the L-1053 (Main street) by Browne’s Garage. Continue to the end of Main Street and turn right onto the L-1052, (High Street) by CYMS/Church. Continue along High Street to the 4 crossroads and turn right for Church Street or turn left to continue west on the R-576.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-97-2023, not later than 5.00pm on Tuesday 13th June 2023. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Cuirfear trácht a bheidh ag taisteal siar ar an R576 ó Cheann Toirc ar mhalairt slí chuig an L-1053 (An Phríomhshráid) in aice le Garáiste Mhuintir Browne. Lean ar aghaidh go dtí barr na Príomhshráide agus cas ar dheis ar an L-1052, (An tSráid Ard) in aice leis an CYMS/Séipéal. Lean ar aghaidh feadh na Sráide Airde chomh fada leis an gcrosbhóthar agus cas ar dheis chun dul ar Shráid na hEaglaise nó cas ar chlé chun leanúint siar ar an R-576.
Beidh feidhm ag an mbealach atreoraithe seo san ord contrártha agus daoine ag taisteal sa treo eile.
Ceadófar rochtain áitiúil ar feadh thréimhse an Dúnta Bóthair seo.
