Make One Change - Cork County Cuts Carbon

For the month of November, Cork County Council will run a series of events and activities around the County, all related to climate action.

There will be something for everyone in the family including story-time for children and all sorts of talks for adults including SEAI pop-up energy clinics (where you can ask all sorts of questions about energy), talks from local community groups about what’s happening in your locality and workshops run by Cork Environmental Forum on all the small practical changes we can make in our day to day lives to help mitigate climate change. The general public are encouraged to get on board, talk about climate action and “make one small change” from a list of pledges (see text/poster re pledges). Children can call to the library to make their pledges too where they can “feed” a carbon Guzzler with their pledge for the week. After four weeks of pledges for the month of November, there will be small prizes for the children. Have a look at the list below and see what is happening in your local library - Everyone is welcome to these free events!
